Seattle - Greenlake

Greenlake is just the right distance around, for the many people who like to walk, jog, roller skate, and bike on the paved path, all the way around the lake.

Greenlake is more than a beautiful lake and park; it is a charming Seattle community, with its own stores and restaurants.

During the summer you can rent a paddle-boat, and sit side-by-side with a friend and peddle around in Greenlake. Power boats are not allowed on Greenlake. You can also rent roller skates.

As you drive around the lake, you'll easily spot the popular swimming areas and the large children's wading pool. The lake is stocked with trout and people fish from off the dock and from shore.

To get there: From downtown Seattle, drive north on Aurora Ave. for 15 to 20 minutes. Greenlake will appear on your right (The lake is just east of Aurora Ave.).
