People who live in the Puget Sound area frequently cruise over to beautiful Blake Island, Washington,
in their own boats. They enjoy picnics and camping on the island's beaches and strolls on wooded trails.
Visitors and Seattle residents alike especially enjoy the tour-package which includes: - Tour Boat Cruise (Departs from Downtown Seattle's waterfront).
- Alder Baked Salmon Meal.
- A Splendid Native American Stage Performance at Tillicum Village.
You'll have plenty of time to explore the island's beautiful trails, and browse in Tillicum Village's gift shop.
Campers at Blake Island State Park can enjoy the comfort of camping at Tillicum Village. Or, if they prefer, they can "rough it" on the other side of the island (about a 15 minute walk from Tillicum Village).
You can purchase cruise ticktets at an easy-to-spot booth on downtown Seattle's waterfront, just a couple of minutes walk north from the ferry terminal. There are periodic departures from the dock there the ticket booth is located. If they're not booked solid, they'll give you a departure time, and you'll be able to explore the waterfront shops for a while, then hop on a cruise that same day.
Also, you can go to the Washington State Parks online guide for additional information about Blake Island State Park and to reserve a campsite by e-mail.
